Bada Bagh, Jaisalmer
Bada Bagh is situated in the outskirts of Jaisalmer. It is a major tourist pull near Jaisalmer. It was built by Maharawal Jait Singh in 1554 AD. The place, where member of the royal family were cremated is called Bada Bagh. After the cremation, in the memory of the departed soul some memorials were constructed as alike other places in Rajasthan, they are called Chhatris or cenotaphs. These cenotaphs bear inscriptions and history of the royal family of Jaisalmer.
