Maharawal Amar Singh of Jaisalmer built this beautiful place in 1740 AD. He built a tank and a Shiva temple. The Shiva temple was constructed purposefully, near tank, so that after a dip, the king could go and worship the temple. The tank in the desert is an oasis in the desert. Not only a Hindu temple, but a Jain Mandir, which was built in 1871 AD by Himat Ram Bafna, a family trading through carvans. The decorations of the front portion of this temple are appreciable and have a sense of profound architecture.
